About forbearance
The Story
A disadvantaged chef gets his big break catering a rich restaurant owners party, but everything goes horribly wrong when the gathering is notified of an imminent nuclear attack, forcing the group to fight amongst themselves for survival, in a battle of the classes.
Forbearance is a drama thriller with dark comedic undertones. The story presents an intriguing ensemble of characters, brought together in a high class gated community, who are forced into an unimaginable life or death situation. As the simmering class tensions and moral quandaries intensify, our characters’ deepest and darkest hidden motivations and biases are revealed when they are forced to fight for salvation through the limited spaces of a bomb shelter. The film offers impactful commentary on class tensions and the morality of climbing the socioeconomic ladder by any means necessary, as is often encouraged by our society.
